The recruiter tells you about the GI Bill. Later, you research FAFSA and discover scholarships and community colleges.
Scene 2: Career Training Paths
The recruiter says you could become a mechanic or IT tech. At the local center, you learn about paid apprenticeships, unions, and AmeriCorps job placements.
Scene 2: Taking Time
You tell the recruiter you need more time. You visit a Peace & Service Center where options await.
Scene 3: Follow-Up Call
The recruiter calls you: “Just checking in! I’ve got a slot in training next month. Want to lock it in?”
Scene 4: The Peace & Service Center
You meet a Peace Corps volunteer, a local carpenter, and a college advisor.
Ending: Peace Builder
You join a service organization and help others around the world. You grow as a leader and peacemaker.
Ending: Skilled Artisan
You train as an electrician, work with your hands, earn good pay, and help build your community.
Ending: Student Advocate
You attend college with aid, get involved in justice and peace groups, and become a voice for change.
Ending: Enlisted
You begin basic training. Life is structured and challenging. You hope to use the benefits wisely and return safely.
Ending: Still Thinking
You delay your choice. You're doing more research, asking questions, and considering all your options carefully.
Ending: Peace Path
You respectfully decline. “I’m choosing a path of peace,” you say. The recruiter nods. “I wish you well.”
